Ogo Adegboye
D.O.B: 23/09/87
Height: 6′1″
Weight:
Position: Point Guard
A 6’0” guard, Adegboye was called up to the GB senior squad by coach Chris Finch in the summer of 2010 after a break-out year in NCAA college basketball with St Bonaventure University.
Born in Nigeria, Adegboye moved to London with his family at the age of three where he was raised, thus qualifying him for a British passport, before he completed high school in Nevada in 2006 after his basketball potential became obvious.
After graduating, Adegboye spent two seasons with Lamar Community College in Colorado where his performances, and averages of 11.1 points and 3.2 assists per game, earned him national attention.
It also earned him the offer of a scholarship with St Bonaventure where he made an impact in 31 games off the bench, averaging 6.6 points and 2.4 assists in 21 minutes per game. The highlight of the guard’s season came, arguably, in a late season win over Rhode Island in which he scored 14 points while adding 6 assists and 3 rebounds in just 28 minutes.
Head Coach Chris Finch, said of Adegboye: “A true point and a natural leader. You can never get enough of either quality and we think Ogo has a real chance to help us this summer.”
