I was speaking to good friend Ash Read the other day about the Back British Basketball campaign (he was the one who got the BBB articles published on Sportsnetworker and UK Sports Network) and he mentioned that in email correspondence he’d had with famous US based basketball blogger Peter R Casey, Casey had said he’d be willing to publish something about the campaign.
I didn’t want to get my hopes up, so waited to see what would happen…sure enough, today, Peter R Casey himself published this awesome piece about the BBB campaign! Why is this so big? For a start he has over 5000 subscribers to his blog, secondly he has almost 60′000 twitter followers, and perhaps most importantly, he is an authority figure in the basketball industry. He has a regular column in the Huffington Post, and his work has appeared in ESPN The Magazine, Bounce, SLAM Online and Twitip.
I’m hoping as a result of this other websites will latch on and publish stuff as well!
